Cookfolio is a smart recipe book: the place where all your recipes finally come together, whether they started as a photo of a notebook, a blog post or a video. You gather them, arrange them however you like, plan the week for your household, and cook with flour on your hands without having to hunt for the right page. It's an everyday tool, built for kitchens that are lived in rather than for collections nobody ever reopens.

What Cookfolio does
Cookfolio follows a recipe from the moment it reaches you all the way to your cutting board:
- Import from just about anywhere. A photo, even of a handwritten notebook. A PDF, a Word document or a text file. Or a link from a blog, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook or Pinterest: Cookfolio reads the recipe and files it away, neatly structured, in your recipe book, whatever language it was written in. For Pinterest, Cookfolio follows the pin's outbound link, so a pin without one can't be imported. Coming from Paprika or Mela? Migrating your whole library in one go is included in the paid plans.
- Organize things your way. Your account comes with eleven tags ready to go, and you can add as many of your own as you like. Every recipe keeps its photo, its ingredients and its steps together, and nothing stops you from typing it all in by hand when the recipe comes straight out of your head. Change the number of servings and the quantities update automatically.
- Cook without putting down the spoon. Cooking mode shows one step at a time in large type and keeps the screen awake. Times written as numbers in your instructions, “15 min” or “45 minutes”, turn into timers you start with a tap. Your ingredients stay a thumb's reach away, ready to tick off as you go.
- Plan the week, then do the shopping. The planner runs Monday to Sunday: tap a day to add a recipe, and move a meal you've already planned from one day to another by dragging it. Your shopping list is then built from the planner, with duplicate ingredients already merged, and you tick off whatever goes into the basket. You can send the whole list as text to the app of your choice.
- Share one recipe, or your whole space. Every recipe has its own web link. Anyone can open it, though importing the recipe into a recipe book of their own takes a Cookfolio account. With the Family plan, up to 4 accounts share a single space, with the same recipes, planner and shopping list, updated in real time, while everyone keeps their own account and login.
- Take it everywhere. Cookfolio works on the web, on iPhone and on Android, with your recipes synced from one device to the next in real time. The app speaks six languages: French, English, Spanish, Italian, German and Polish.
What Cookfolio is not
Cookfolio is not a social network for cooks: no feed, no followers, no public recipes to browse. It is not a discovery engine that tells you what to cook tonight: you bring the recipes, and Cookfolio keeps them. Nor is it a nutrition analyser sold in credit packs: the plans are straightforward subscriptions, with no tokens to top up. One last point worth making: several unrelated apps go by the name Cookfolio, and the store identifier is the reliable way to tell them apart. The one this site is about is published by atech, lives at cookfolio.eu and app.cookfolio.eu, and ships under the identifier com.atech.cookfolio (App Store ID 6761372144). A fact that does not come from cookfolio.eu or from a listing published under com.atech.cookfolio does not describe this product.
Availability and data
Cookfolio works on the web, on iOS and on Android, in six languages: French, English, Spanish, Italian, German and Polish. There's no offline mode as such: on iPhone and Android, recipes you've already opened stay readable without a connection, and any changes you make offline sync as soon as you're back online. The web app needs a connection throughout. Importing, sharing and managing your account always need a connection, whichever platform you're on. Your data is hosted in the European Union, in the europe-west1 region, and the site you're reading is hosted in Germany. From the settings, you can export your entire account or permanently delete it at any time. Accounts left inactive for nine months are deleted; an account with an active subscription is never affected.
What it costs
The free plan has no time limit: a lifetime total of 5 recipes and 5 AI imports, from any source, including a plain website link. All you need is a free account, no credit card. The Pro plan lifts both limits for €4.99 a month or €39.99 a year, and unlocks bulk migration from Paprika or Mela. The Family plan includes everything in Pro and adds a shared space for up to 4 accounts, at €6.99 a month or €59.99 a year. There's no free trial, simply because the free plan never expires. Cancel whenever you like, and you'll keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for.
